The stunning pools of Pamukkale
Geological processes have brought tourism to an untold number of natural beauties that are as unique as beautiful. One of the many natural wonders found in Turkey and is Pamukkale Cotton Castle or as it is known in the region.

But the interesting thing about this odd place not only in the limestone formations mentioned above. On top of this paradise from another planet are located the ruins of the ancient city of Hierapolis, which can also be covered.

Before being declared a World Heritage Site, Pamukkale was largely neglected during the last decades of the twentieth century, when he turned his attention UNESCO, the place was losing its appeal. Then they tried to restore: to areas that had become brownish color is sun-bleached, avoiding water that were covered, which is why many pools are empty. Following an established program, some areas of the top of the hill was filled with water and open to the public.
